Frode Helmich Pedersen

Frode Helmich Pedersen (b. 1976, Norway) is professor of Nordic literature at the University of Bergen, as well as a literary critic and author. He has spent many years as a critic at Bergens Tidende and Morgenbladet and has also been active in debates and as a writer in other fields. He has been a member of the editorial board of the periodicals Prosopopeia, Vagant, and Vinduet, and has taught at the writing school Skrivekunstakademiet.

In 2021 he published the essay anthology Splinten i øyet [Splinter in Your Eye], and in 2022 Forfølgelsen av Julian Assange [The Persecution of Julian Assange], which he co-authored with Gisle Selnes.

In 2021 he was named Literature Critic of the Year by the Norwegian Critics’ Association.
