Erna Osland

Erna Osland (b. 1951, Norway) is a Norwegian teacher and author of children’s literature.

She made her literary debut in 1987 with the youth’s book Natteramnen [The Nightjar]. She received the Norwegian Critics Prize for Best Children’s Book in 1999 for Salamandarryttaren [The Salamander Rider].

Her latest children’s book is entitled Barnas verdshistorie [World History for Children]and just won the Brage prize for Children's non-fiction.
