Marte Spurkland

Signe Fuglesteg Luksengard

Marte Spurkland (b. 1977, Norway) is a journalist, programme director and author. She has worked for NRK, DN and VG, and for TV2. In 2015 she received the Riksmålsfobundet’s listener’s award  for the VG podcast «Tett på» (Close to).

Her book Klassen - fortellinger fra et skoleår (2017) was nominated for the Brage Prize. In 2019, Spurkland published Pappas runer (Dad's runes), a story about her father, rune researcher Terje Spurkland's last years of life and the work that father and daughter did with his last manuscripts.

In 2024, the book 1178 netter - historien om et tvangsekteskap ( 1178 nights - the story of a forced marriage) was published.
