Gunnhild Øyehaug

Gunnhild Øyehaug (b. 1975, Norway) is an author and a teacher at the Academy of Writing in Bergen. She was previously co-editor of the journals Kraftsentrum and Vagant and a literary critic at Morgenbladet and Klassekampen.
Øyehaug has scripted a feature and a short film, and her books have been published in Denmark, Sweden, Germany and elsewhere. Her short story collection Knutar (Knots) and her novel Vente, blinke (Wait, Blink)(winner of the National Book award in 2018, were published in the USA .
She received the Bjørnson Scholarship in 2006, the Dobloug Prize in 2009 and the Sult Prize in 2009.
Her latest novel, Her kjem sola (Here Comes the Sun), was published in 2024
