Preben Jordal

Preben Jordal (b 1972, Norway) is a literary scholar, critic and translator.

He is the literary critic for the newspaper Aftenpost and has previously been the book reviewer for various newspapers such as Bergens Tidende, Morgenbladet and Klassekampen and in addition he has been the editor of Vinduet and co-editor of Vagant.

Jordal has translated books mainly, from English into Norwegian, by authors such as David Foster Wallace, George Saunders and Thomas Pynchon.

Jordal is also the head of the Norwegian Critics’ Association.
