Arve Henriksen

Arve Henriksen (b 1968, Norway) is a Norwegian musician and composer.

He studied jazz at the music conservatory in Trondheim from 1987 to 1991, and he has been a freelance musician since 1989.

He has released eleven solo albums since 2001 and played with numerous Norwegian and foreign artists within jazz and experimental music forms.

In 2016 and 2017 he released the albums “Eg gjekk ned til denne fjorden” and “Noko driv på” in collaboration with the poet Kjartan Hatløy.

Henriksen has been nominated for the Spellemann Prize several times, and awarded among other things the Norwegian Jazz Forum's Buddy Prize in 2005 and Radka Toneff's Memorial Prize in 2007.
