Nils-Øivind Haagensen

Nils-Øivind Haagensen (b 1971, Norway) is an author and publisher resident in Oslo.

He has been a journalist in Klassekampen and helped to found publisher Flamme Forlag i 2008. His literary debut came in 1998 with the poetry collection Hender og hukommelse, and he has since written several more poetry collections, novels and many books in other genres. His latest offering is the novel Sangria i parken (2021).

Haagensen received the Sult Prize in 2004 for his authorial work, and poetry collection God morgen og god natt was nominated in 2013 for the Nordic Council Literature Prize. He was awarded the Kjell Holm Foundation’s Culture Prize in 2017.
