Jørgen Watne Frydnes

Jørgen Watne Frydnes (b 1984, Norway) is CEO of Utøya AS.

He studied political science at the University of Oslo and has an MSc in international politics from the University of York. He worked for the Norwegian arm of Médecins Sans Frontières in 2004-11 – and served on its board in 2014-17 – before joining Utøya AS in 2011.

Frydnes is on the board of the Norwegian Helsinki Committee, and was appointed to the Norwegian Nobel Committee in 2020.

He published Ingen mann er en øy in 2021.
