Anne Bitsch

Einar Aslaksen

Anne Bitsch (b 1978, Denmark) is a Norwegian-Danish scientist and author with a PhD in social geography. Her writing and research address such subjects as right-wing extremism, human rights, gender issues and sexual violence. She received the Critics’ Prize in 2017 for Går du nå, er du ikke lenger min datter, where she wrote about failures of parental care.

Bitsch is topical is 2021 with Brorskapet, a book about the murder of 15-year-old Benjamin Hermansen i 2001. She turns the spotlight on the radicalisation and militant nationalism which underlay that crime as well as on an inadequate investigation and the failure to tackle racist violence in Norway.
