Cross-generation conversation II: Natural pleasures (digital)

The stricter infection control measures adopted by the Norwegian authorities for the Bergen region from 7-14 February mean that LitFestBergen must cancel all physical events. All ticket purchases for physical events will be refunded. This event will be streamed to YouTube.

Latest: Dara McAnulty is unable to take part in this event. The conversation will therefore be conducted in Norwegian between Anne Sverdrup-Thygeson and Kari Jegerstedt. They are sure to reflect on McAnulty’s book.

Sixteen-year-old Dara McAnulty from Ireland has only one goal – to protect the natural world he loves. Published in 2019, his book Diary of a Young Naturalist won great acclaim and a number of awards. McAnulty is autistic, and describes how nature experiences calm his senses. Professor and author Anne Sverdrup-Thygeson has a similar goal – telling everyone what nature gives and creates which not only benefits us humans but is also essential for our lives. She presents that through incredible true stories in her På naturens skuldre (On the Shoulders of Nature).

Two generations of nature-lovers meet for a conversation on the natural world, literature, what can give pleasure and what motives them, with Kari Jegerstedt as moderator.
