Tamana Tawangar

Tamana Tawangar (b 1991, Afghanistan) is a poet, writer and theatre director born in Herat. She completed her BA degree in theatre directing and her MA in educational management at Kabul University. She is the Persian language secretary of the Afghanistan PEN Centre and a member of the Herat Literary Association. She is also a publication officer at BARG Publication. Her published works include the poetry collections Yak lab sookot and Tou, and the novels Kolad Tanhayee and Ro Sari Ta Mazar. She has directed 10 theatre plays, acted in the Macbeth Theatre and published a collection of monologues for men and women.
