Nature and literature

Nature writing is an expanding genre. In his book Skogens historie, scientist and author Reidar Müller explains not only the role forests play in humanity’s conceptual world but also their significance for animals – particularly the wolf. While Müller wanders in the woods, author Andreas Tjernshaugen takes us into the depths. His book Hvaleventyret presents the blue whale, the largest animal which has ever lived.

Is our relationship with nature changing? And how does this find expression in literature? The conversation will be moderated by journalist and author Kjersti Sandvik.

In cooperation with Prosalong/the Norwegian Non-Fiction Writers and Translators Association.

Admission free.

The conversation will be in Norwegian.
