Henning Bergsvåg

Henning Bergsvåg (b 1974, Norway) is an author and disseminator of literature. He made his debut in 2000 with the poetry collection Newfoundland, and has since published five more books of poetry – most recently the critically praised Du er ikke her in 2016.

His poems have been translated into English, Dutch, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish and, most recently, French in the Revue Nioques literary journal. In 2012, Bergsvåg established Poesidigg, a series of events with readings, meetings and conversations involving national and international poets of the highest calibre and including new voices from Bergen’s underground community.

He has studied at the Academy of Creative Writing in Hordaland and literary composition at the University of Gothenburg.
