Wesam Almadani

Wesam Almadani (b. 1983, Sudan) is a Palestinian writer and activist originally from Jaffa, raised across Sudan, Egypt, and Gaza. Almadani has published three books: the novel Bodies Schizophrenia (2020); the poetry collections Yaa (2015); and About a Being Trapped in Images and Survived (2024) about war and love.

Almadani has also participated in sex literary collaborations with other writers. Almadani´s works have been translated into English, Norwegian, Swedish, Hebrew, and Italian. Currently, Wesam is working on a collection of short stories titled This is How War Left Me Alive, inspired by their experience of surviving the 2014 war on Gaza, examining the human impact of conflict.
