Are Tjihkkom (b. 2003, Norway) is a linguist with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oslo. He has been a member of the Norwegian Association of Translators since 2024.

Tjihkkom has translated a handful of books, primarily classics, into the Norwegian minority language Lule Sami. His translations include Pan by Knut Hamsun, Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney, and The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll was the first novel he translated, which he completed during his final year of high school.

He also runs his own publishing house, through which he has so far released five of his translations.
