Pippa Murphy

Pippa Murphy (b 1972, UK) is an award-winning composer and sound designer known for combining orchestras, singers and instrumentalists with ambient soundscapes. 

She is known for her stylistic breadth, depth and originality, as well as a unique cross-disciplinary understanding of storytelling and creative collaboration. 

Murphy is part of the Throwing Voices project, a collaboration between writers and musicians which explores the place of Scotland’s indigenous languages and dialects in the 21st century.
