Bergsveinn Birgisson

Bergsveinn Birgisson (b 1971, Iceland) is an author with a PhD in Norse philology.

He made his debut as a novelist with Soga om vêret, and was nominated in 2012 for the Nordic Council’s Literature Prize for his novel Svar på brev frå Helga, which is also due to performed on stage by Hordaland Theatre in 2019.

Birgisson was nominated for the Brage Prize for best non-fiction book for Den svarte vikingen (2013). He lives in Bergen.
